Open Ritual with The Forest’s Edge!

All Witches and Pagans living in the Nashville area are invited to join the Nashville members of The Forest’s Edge Tradition of Witchcraft for a ritual honoring the ancestors. Current students and teachers will be happy to answer questions about the Tradition, which is an ever-evolving teaching and initiatory Green tradition of Witchcraft with its roots in the practices of European cunningfolk and shamanism. The ritual will be outdoors in a picnic shelter around a hearth fire, so wear warm, dark clothing.

Please bring a feast item to share, your own reusable feast gear (a plate, cup, and silverware) , and a percussion instrument of some kind. If you do not have a drum, rattle, or bell, you make bring a staff, or even two sticks to bang together. Please also bring a candle in a jar, or a votive in a fire-proof votive holder.

The ritual will involve making offerings to different categories of ancestors, and will culminate in drumming and chanting, followed by a feast.
